1991
23rd September: 7 members found the Association of Czech Advertising Agencies and Producers of Audio-video Programs in Malostranská beseda: Petr Horáček, Mgr. Pavel Brabec, Mgr. Zdeněk Navara, Jan Marisko, Alena Hübnerová, Jiří Noháč, Petr Petričko. The association prepares the proposal of its statutes and submits them to the Czech Ministry of Interior for registration.
1992
18th March: AČRA AVP is registered and the first general meeting elects its board of directors. Pavel Brabec is the president and Petr Horáček vice-president. JUDr. Petr Pečený becomes the legal counsel of the association and Médea agency evolves into a quality supplier of media buying and planning.
1993
AČRA AVP opens to non-Prague members and has 18 members. After an agreement with the Association of Advertising Agencies (ARA) AČRA AVP becomes the mass associated member of ARA. Section are being established.
1994
AČRA AVP has already 26 members, its logo becomes a registered trademark. Volume no. 1 of a representative yearbook in bilingual version is published, collaboration is developed with professional magazine Strategie, Preparatory negotiations regarding entering the Czech Advertising Standards Council takes place in September.
1995
The asociation has 29 members and the total turnover of cca 0,75 billion Kč. In January it prepares a proposal of an modification of its statutes. In May AČRA AVP submits an application to enter Czech Advertising Standards Council. AČRA M.K. is the first who includes into its statutes an obligation to follow the Ethical Code of Advertising in the Czech Republic. Theboard of directors makes a motion to change the name of the association to the Association of Czech Advertising Agencies and Marketing Communication. The 1st year of the Golden Stone competition with 75 exhibits takes place in Prague‘s Carolinum. Director Vladimír Sís is a honorary chairman of the jury.
1996
AČRA M.K. celebrates 5 years of its existence. It has 32 members and accumulated turnover cca 1 billion Kč. New statutes with more rigorous criteria for membership to AČRA M.K. are registered. The 2nd year of the Golden Stone competition takes place in Veletržní Palace. The honorary chairman of the jury is PhDr. Radúz Činčera.
1997
AČRA M.K. has already 34 members and annual turnover of 1,3 billion Kč. In February AČRA M.K. becomes a member of the Czech Advertising Standards Council. Výstaviště Praha becomes a place of the 3rd year of the Golden Stone competition organized in collaboration with the prestigious fair MEDIA and M.I.P. company. Writer and publicist Jiří Stránský, chairman of the Czech PEN CLUB is a honorary chairman of the jury.
1998
AČRA M.K. has 33 members and the total turnover is 1,2 billion Kč. 4th year of the Golden Stone competition takes place again at Výstaviště as a part of MEDIA fair. Prof. Milan Knížák, former AVU rector and National Gallery director is a honorary chairman of the jury. AČRA M.K. becomes a member of the Chamber of Commerce of the Czech Republic.
1999
AČRA M.K. has 29 members with turnover cca 1 billion Kč. Theodor Pištěk, costume designer and the Oscar winner is a honorary chairman of the jury of the 5th year of the Golden Stone competition. Pavel Brabec becomes a member of the Arbitration Committee of the Czech Advertising Standards Council.
2000
AČRA M.K. comments on bill of the Act on Regulation of Advertising and participates in negotiating the bill in the Chamber of Deputies. In June AČRA M.K. organizes, under the support of the Czech Minister of Industry and Trade, Ing. Miroslav Grégr, the prestigious forum COMMUNICATION 2000 in hotel Imperial in Karlovy Vary. AČRA M.K. in collaboration with the College of International and Public Relations establishes the Czech Institute of Advertising and Marketing Communication (ČIRMK). First successful year has 27 students. The 6th year of the Golden Stone competition is held under the honorary chairmanship of cameraman Miroslav Ondříček, the Oscar winner. For the first time ever there are Slovak agencies participating in the competition.
2001
AČRA M.K., being the first professional association founded in the Czech Republic, celebrates the 10th anniversary of its foundation. AČRA M.K. has 34 members. In April the Czech Institute of Advertising and Marketing Communication opens its second year. Philip Morris ČR and Strategie become partners of the project. ČIRMK honorary chairman Jiří Dienstbier and JUDr. Marie Chatardová, director of the Communication Strategy Department of the European Integration Section of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Czech Republic, welcome 59 new students.
2002
AČRA M.K. is currently represented by 43 members. In April the Czech Institute of Advertising and Marketing Communication starts the 3rd year of vocational innovative study, this year for the first time at the College of International and Public Relations Prague. The class is run in two parallel yet independent courses: “Communication and Marketing Strategy” and “Communication Processes and Public Relations in Practice” again under the auspices of the Communication Strategy Department of the European Integration Section of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Czech Republic. In autumn the 8th year of the creative competition Golden Stone is held, for the second time as a part of the conference FORUM MEDIA 2002, organized in collaboration with M.I.P. Group., Marketing & Media magazine and ARBO media company.
